Your heart might be a’flutter to meet GRR’s Valentina!  This sweet gal is both house-trained and crate trained- she sleeps in her crate at night without issue and is crated when left alone. Since she is fairly new to GRR, so far she has not been exposed to cats, kiddos, or had the opportunity for a swim.  Valentina is working on learning to not jump up on human companions, she is a gentle treat-taker, and she knows how to “sit”.  She also rides calmly in the car.

While Valentina had some exposure to other dogs in her past life, it has been limited.   With redirection she moves on and continues walking or taking in a good sniff!  She is doing well on a leash and with time and practice, she will improve even more. One thing Valentina just cannot resist is doing a bit of counter-surfing…she just HAS to know what she might be missing! Yet, with a verbal correction, she does listen. Valentina is a bit of a chewer showing interest in some baseboards and table legs, so she is working on chewing on appropriate toys/items.  She does love her toys and will carry them around and show them off to you! Valentina has also been mastering some puzzles, which she seems to enjoy.  She is a calm little lady and loves to be near her people, she is adapting well to her new environment and seems to open up more each day.

Ideal Home: An ideal home for Valentina would be a family that will love her and keep her safe.  A family who has time to help her to discover the ways of living her best life would be great, as she seems ready and willing to learn new things.  In true Golden Retriever fashion, Valentina is sweet, gentle, and calm.  Could your family be the perfect bunch to love and spoil Valentina?

Valentina needs a family who is willing to take her through Heartworm treatment at GRR’s expense. We a happy to discuss what Heartworm treatment entails.
