Personality: Sophie is an adorable red head that is full of beans, quite appropriate for her age. She is totally housebroken and is free to roam the house when she is alone and when the family is home.
Sophie gets excited and happy around children. She does jump up a little around people, but that’s her excitement showing through. She is great around other dogs, completely unafraid, curious, and friendly. Sophie has yet to meet a cat. She is good and calm in the car. She’s excellent on the least with the exception of a little excited pulling.
In the house Sophie loves to play with toys and balls. She will steal the occasional sock with a little chewing involved. She’s always good once she settles down but if she senses you want to play that puppy excitement shows its head. She is calm and gentle when she eats and doesn’t mind if anyone comes around while she is enjoying her meal. She will chase a ball and bring it back but hasn’t learned to release it yet.
All and all, Sophie is a friendly, playful puppy/teen. Not only is she full of energy but she has buckets of love to share. She loves to be cuddled and to give back that attention. She is so beautiful and fun to be around. Her vet says that she is “the perfect golden.”
Ideal Home: Sophie needs a family that will play with her and help her continue to learn good behavior. Older children would be a good fit for her. She needs attention and to be a big part of the family, not just the dog in the house.
