Personality:  Beautiful Bella came to GRR after some upheaval with her previous owners. But now she is happily ensconced with a foster family and settling in nicely.

Bella is reliably housetrained and is trustworthy enough to be left alone in the home. She loves kids and is bouncy, excited, sweet, and affectionate around them. The foster family has no other dogs so it’s unclear how she is with them. When she sees other dogs on her walks, she gets a bit anxious and barks. Speaking of walks, she pulls on the leash so between this and her reaction to other dogs, walking is an area that needs some work from a family who can help her concentrate on her behavior.

She likes to chase a toy or ball but at this point she’s not interested in retrieving it and bringing it back.

In the house Bella is a complete sweetie. She’s very gentle and calm when she plays and is super engaging with her foster family. When the family isn’t cuddling or playing with her, she's content to entertain herself with stuffies, balls, rope toys and the occasional bully stick or bone. She’s what’s known as a Velcro dog, sticking close when foster mom is working and following her around the house. She’s not shown any ill-mannered behavior in the house and only gets on the beds or furniture when invited.

Bella is a wiggle-worm when being groomed, but she does seem to enjoy being brushed. Her overall energy level is high, but she is happy, friendly, and affectionate. She may have a bit of separation anxiety, being doubly excited when mom gets home even after being gone only an hour.

Overall, Bella has settled in very well and is a true love bug. She wants nothing more to love and be loved by you. She has no naughty habits, likes to sleep in the bed with her human, handing out kisses when foster mom wakes up in the morning

Ideal Home: Bella attaches easily is really ready to find a forever family who will give her lots of attention. She needs a family that can spend a lot of time with her and will make her part of the family routine. She really likes a lot of interaction. A family where someone is home most of the day would be a good match and a family with older kids would be ideal.

Bella is heartworm positive, so her forever family needs to be willing to take her through her treatment, at GRR’s expense.
