Winter was recently found wandering the streets of Converse, Texas, with a dirty collar and no tags.  Her friendly rescuer was unable to keep her and contacted GRR to find this sweet girl a loving, forever home.  While Winter does have some medical issues, she will be a loving companion to whomever is lucky enough to adopt her.

Personality:

Winter is a sugar-faced, blonde sweetheart who enjoys the company and attention of her humans.  She does well with other dogs and is eager to play, though her arthritis limits her activity level.  She can be a little strong-willed but she will undoubtedly make a loyal, tail-wagging friend to whomever opens their hearts and home to her.

Winter enjoys frequent trips outside and is a good leash walker.  She loves to chew on her Nylabone and enjoys eating.  While she is happy to accept yummy treats, she isn’t terribly motivated to learn new tricks!  She does well with grooming, sleeps like a log at night, and is a good car-rider.  If confinement is needed, Winter’s foster family currently uses a gate since she seems a little hesitant to be crated at this time.

Ideal Home:

Winter’s forever family should have a one-story home, with level access to the backyard.  Due to the arthritis in her back legs, she may require frequent trips outside to potty, regular medical care, and assistance getting into a vehicle.  Her home could include older children and/or another dog. Her experience with cats is unknown.
