Personality: GRR’s own “Steel Magnolia”, Shelby Lynn, is a happy and outgoing sweetheart who is ready to find a welcoming Forever Home. Being a “grownup” of 4 years old, Shelby is completely housetrained and is calm, cool and collected on car rides. She is totally leash trained, and being forever helpful, Shelby Lynn assists her foster on her walks by carrying her own leash in her mouth. Another “big girl” trait of hers is that she has been trained to stay down and not jump up on humans, even though she loves people and wants their attention. She knows that is best to sit patiently for her pets!

Typically golden, Shelby loves water and given the opportunity would swim to her heart’s content. She will fetch a ball or toy and even though she may want to play tuggy with it, she will drop it when asked. What a good girl! So far she has shown no adverse effects to fireworks or thunderstorms (whew)! She sleeps through the night without waking up her foster folks for extra trips outside.

Ideal Home: Shelby is very gentle with children but has no experience with cats, so a family with older children and no feline brother or sister would suit her. Her forever family needs to be willing to help her romp and burn energy as she is a very active girl who sometimes forgets her own size. Because of this, Shelby Lynn is quite strong and vigorous and is too much for smaller dogs.
