Rob is a true “Diamond in the rough” and is a beauty of a Golden. He’s a people focused kind of guy and he will watch your every move.  He’s a fun boy with a bundle of Golden energy but will be very willing to roll over on his back at any time for a good tummy rub. Rob is very affectionate, gives you one paw and then the other. He just loves companionship, human and canine, so he would get along with other dogs, too. He used to be an outdoor dog so he could benefit from a little training to make him the perfect indoor house mate. He’s a smart boy, just needs to learn a few rules on asking to go potty (he’s not used to asking to go out since he was an outdoor dweller), walking on a leash and taking a treat gently. Rob is a high energy bundle of love though. He loves attention and loves to give attention to you.

Ideal home: Rob is going to make a fantastic companion but he needs a little polishing. Rob may be 8 years old, but he is healthy and acts like a 2 year old.  He will need an active family or couple who can keep up with his energy level but he is a fun dog. He would also be good with other dogs. At 8 years of age he is still learning a few manners such as walking with a leash and taking treats a bit more gently but he is a great student. A little training mixed with love and patience will help him become the perfect Golden boy.
