Red is a 2.5-year-old boy who brings love and joy to everyone he meets. He is a family guy who enjoys his play time with his humans and mostly just wants to be where the humans are! Whether it is playing tug-of-war in the yard or cuddled up on the couch, this boy is just happy to be around you.

Red greets every human with the same enthusiasm – a big smile, a wagging tail, and an excited jump. His manners within the house are great, but he does need a bit of a watchful eye around food. This boy loves to eat! He is house trained as well and is even allowed to roam the house when the family is away. Toys are his thing and sometimes he may get them confused with little human socks but making some adjustments to keep those things out of his reach has helped prevent this mix up.

Red is currently getting plenty of tender loving care from his foster family who is treating him for flea bites and a rash. Once treated, his beautiful red hair should start to grow back to its original lustrous shine!

Red is looking for some stability. He has been passed around due to some unfortunate circumstances that was out of his two family’s control. This hasn’t slowed down this guy’s spirit, though. He still loves humans very much and wants to spend as much time (day or night) cuddling them!

Ideal Home: He would do best in a family with plenty of people to love on and play with him. Red would work as either an "only" dog or with another dog who wouldn't mind him being in charge!  A home without cats would be best as Red seems to be a bit obsessed with them. Red is an active boy who needs daily exercise and would benefit from basic training to help him learn proper manners.  He is great with children but recommend kids 12 or older as Red will jump so he could unintentionally knock a small child over. If you are looking to be a stable home to a spirited, young, beautiful golden boy, then this is your dog!
