Personality: Mike is a young at heart gentleman that suddenly finds himself in need of a new home. His humans since puppy-hood discovered that the property owner of their new house will not allow pets, so Mike is unexpectedly available.
Since Mike is as wonderful as a Golden can be, this is a tearful situation for all concerned, but soon to be remedied with the help of GRR.
Mike is settling in now with his foster, and she says he is just as great as she had heard. He knows something has changed, but his strong personality is shining through. That calm, warm personality is apparent even in his photos below.
Being well socialized, Mike was outstanding on his initial walk with his foster, and was very affectionate with her other dog right off the bat.
Mike appears to be in general good health, and is soon to have his vet visit for a full physical assessment. He certainly has a well-developed appetite, but is not overly-protective of his food. As a well-mannered guy, he sleeps through the night and is house trained but has had a few “accidents” in the initial stressful change of homes. Mike clearly enjoys rubs from humans of all ages, and was previously adored by two school age girls in his earlier home. He loves to be with his humans, the companion that he is!
Some lucky adopter will soon be appreciating the good vibes and loving interaction only a Golden like Mike can provide!
Ideal home: Based on his background, Mike would enjoy a household with one or more other dogs, and youngsters over 8 would be even more fun (for everyone). He would be best in a home with someone around during the day so he could enjoy outdoor breaks. More updates to be forthcoming as he reveals his personality to his GRR foster parent.
