Jade came to GRR with a nasty wound on her left front paw. She has surgery to repair the wound since her arrival. The first comments about her (beyond the wound) were “boy, is she cute!”

Personality: Despite her injury, Jade has been extremely cheerful since coming to GRR and things are looking up for her!

Her foster family is working on house training and she is almost there. Right now, she’s not too interested in other dogs but when she is around them and around children, she gets very bouncy. But since her activity is limited due to her wound, her activity is limited and how much she likes to play, or retrieve is unknown.

She’s a curious young thing, and currently likes to put her paws up wherever she can reach. Her family is working on that. She does love to be groomed and petted, including a full body rub. Who doesn’t enjoy a good massage?

Jade sleeps through the night in a crate. Her foster mom is working on things like “sitting” and she likes to lay by her foster mom’s feet when she is working. Her favorite position is flat on her back with her legs wide open.

Ideal Family: Her new family must have and be willing to take the time to train her. She has a lot to learn. But Jade is as sweet as she can be and will be a great companion and friend.
