Honey had been passed from her original owner to his brother and turns out the brother is allergic to Honey and could not keep her, although he said she is the best dog. The brother did not want Honey back, so GRR stepped in.

Honey is as sweet as her name implies. When she encounters children on her walks she gets very happy and enjoys playing with other dogs. While Honey has numerous medical issues, she doesn’t seem to know she’s ill and enjoys playing with people and other dogs.  Retrieving is not her thing, but perhaps she considers it “child’s play” since she is a lady-like senior citizen..  Honey is very calm in the house and loves playing with stuffies. Thunderstorms don’t seem to bother her, and she always sleeps through the night. She gets a bit wiggly at grooming time and she doesn’t like her paws touched.  Honey is enjoying the sweet-life with her forever foster family.

Honey is a Permanent Foster because she is in renal failure and her prognosis is guarded.  She is being treated with an ACE inhibitor, renal prescription food and a carefully managed diet.  Honey is also in treatment for heartworms.  Fortunately her numerous lumps have been aspirated and are of no concern.
