Envie is an eye-catching Golden girl that is ready to blossom.  Found on the street as a stray and taken to the Palm Valley Animal Center, Envie wore a collar but no tags or chip.  Her general condition indicated that she had been on her own for a while, and after the requisite waiting period, GRR volunteers went into action to save the day.   Her initial vet checks at PVAC and subsequently with the GRR vet indicated she is heart worm free but initially needed antibiotics for an internal infection.  Otherwise, she was basically in very sound physical condition.   With her course of antibiotics nearly complete, she is feeling great and is as cute as can be!

Personality: In her fosters’ care, Envie has shown a personality that is hard to beat.  She immediately took to her fosters’ two teenage girls, and loves to hang with them. When you meet, Envie gets excited, sits down, and “waves” at you with her front paw.  If there was any concern about her socialization, Envie put that to rest by bonding with her fosters’ Cocker Spaniel.  Envie is into calm, gentle play, rolling on her back and loving the interaction.

While play time can be quiet, she is definitely into making sure you know she is protecting her domain. She loves to bark at deer that venture into the backyard, or passing dogs on walks past her house.  For Envie, travel in the car is a blast, as she calmly sits or lays quietly in the back seat.  She volunteers for any road trip at the drop of a hat.

When she first arrived at her fosters’ home, Envie found a flip flop to munch on. But as soon as she was introduced to the toy box, and had her very own toy, she has exclusively reserved chewing to her toys instead.   Her manners in the house have been over the top.  She has shown no signs of counter surfing, and is very good around food (hers and others).  She takes her time eating, and is not food aggressive at all.  On top of that, she has had no accidents in the house, and zero problems with thunderstorms! What a girl.

Now that Envie has completed her course of meds, she is on schedule for spaying and will soon be ready for her new forever home.  She is the perfect age and energy level – past the crazy puppy stage and yet young, frisky and well mannered.  Envie has been very lucky, and you will be too when she waves her paw coming in your front door!

Ideal Home:    Envie’s personality suites a wide range of forever homes just fine. Her good nature would resonate best in a home with multiple family members of the two and/or four legged variety.
