Duke is possibly a Golden Retriever mix, but he’s a handsome boy and looks like nothing but Golden. He has a beautiful coat with lots of adorable freckles with splatters of white throughout his coat. He’s is in great health with the exception of one bad tooth that will be coming out.

Personality: Duke has been on his best behavior in his foster home with no accidents in the house, thus he is allowed to roam the house without being chaperoned. He’s an excitable boy and does jump a bit but is easily corrected.

Duke is calm in the car and in the house. It’s obvious he was an indoor boy in his past life. Workers invaded his foster home one day and his was fine, although he will give a little bark if someone comes to the door. Nothing like having a watch dog in the house! And a major plus – he’s also nice and calm during thunderstorms.

He doesn’t show much interest in balls, toys or retrieving, but Duke is the proverbial Velcro dog. He loves being within sight of his people, calm and gentle at all times and fairly low energy. When one of his foster family sits down he walks right up and put his head in a lap. There’s not much cuter than that!

Ideal Home: He hasn’t been around children or cats, so that part of his personality is unknown. But his foster says that Duke is a real jewel and that any family that accepts him into their home would be extremely lucky. She can’t find anything negative to say about him.
