Personality: Duke is a handsome Golden retriever who has experienced some health challenges in the past.  Duke had cancer about 8 months ago and had his right front leg removed.  Despite this disability, Duke seems to do well - light swimming and ball chasing are his favorite activities.  With regular medication and light activity, Duke seems to be thriving these days.

Duke has a lot of excellent qualities going for him – he is crate-trained and house-trained already!  Duke’s previous owners claim that he is well-behaved, doesn’t bark, and is treat motivated.  Duke gets along with other dogs, but his real preference is to be around humans.  He loves to play fetch and cuddle/snuggle on the couch.  Duke has great affinity for people and would love to spend his time with humans all day long.

Ideal home: Due to Duke’s physical challenges of having only three legs, he would do best in a quiet, low key home with or without another dog (as long as he has human companionship). Duke wants to be someone’s mellow buddy – if you think Duke could be right for you, you won’t find a better friend in this world than this canine pal!
