Personality: Cha Cha is a very lucky Golden Retriever mix that started out life with a great family.  However, due to recent health issues, her family came to understand that it was in Cha Cha’s best interest that she find a new forever home. Raising Cha Cha from a pup, it was a difficult and emotional decision, but a correct one in order that she receive the attention they know she deserves.  Cha Cha’s good luck continued in her quest for a new home as she found herself with GRR.

Cha Cha is a smaller than average Golden Retriever, but has all the traits that make Goldens so attractive. When meeting new people, she knows no strangers, and immediately sets out to get your attention (and rubs).  During the day, she loves to be near you, regardless of your activity and places herself strategically so it is easy to administer more rubs. Her sociable personality extends to other dogs, as well. Here she takes an initial position of caution, but in a short time forms close canine friendships. So far, she has shown no interest pro or con regarding cats, but no “close encounters of the feline-kind” have come up during her walks.

She is very well house trained, with no accidents in her foster’s house to date. Car rides are taken right in stride, as she quietly jumps in and chooses a spot in the back seat. No competition for the front seat from this girl.  On walks, she is a dream as she very calmly keeps the pace of the other walkers, slowing the pace only to check out the most interesting scents along the way.

Although naturally quiet, Cha Cha has the watch dog gene, so that she sounds her alarm bark when unusual or unexpected sights or sounds occur.  Her bark sounds larger than her stature, and she is not shy in joining in when other members of the pack sound off.

On her intake visit, the veterinarian pronounced Cha Cha in sound physical condition, and she is now recovering from her spaying operation.

Cha Cha is the perfect “pint-sized” Golden, ready and willing to light up your life with her constant companionship and infectious spirit of fun.

Ideal Home:    Cha Cha would enjoy a household with plenty of activity, with other dogs adding to the chemistry of adventure.  Her energy level translates into the need for playful good times at home or in the park on a daily basis.
