Personality: Beasley came to GRR for home placement as  he had been rescued from the shelter.  He is a playful, adaptable fella that enjoys a good swim in the backyard pool.  Beasley has wonderful manners  and is very intelligent with tasks such as sit and stay and he is easily redirected. Beasley truly enjoys pleasing his people, and does not mind the activities of a busy house hold, as long as a nap is in included in the hustle and bustle. He is an experienced leash walker and does not pull or require lots of redirection. He does best with a mid-day potty break and is demonstrating the skill of being house broken.

Beasley is recovering from a mild dermatitis likely associated with stress and poor nutrition at the shelter.  Even though he has the sit and stay down pat, he needs further direction on when to “drop it”.  But he will allow you to take the ball from his mouth gently.  He is gentle with treats and has good manners with meals.  He does sleep through the night and enjoys the quiet of an afternoon nap on the corner of a giant fluffy bed.

Ideal home: Since Beasley has done well with elementary school aged children in his foster home, a family with children would be a good fit for him. He does finds stairs frightening and would do best with someone that can help him recognize this is a non-threatening activity.
