By joining GRR you are helping to cover costs of our rescue, that are not included in the adoption fee. Basic membership starts at $40.00 per year and allows you to attend and vote at our October meeting. Also included is electronic delivery of our newsletter for a year, invitations to doggy events and our annual adult holiday party.

Your membership of $40 pays for us to microchip one dog.
Your membership of $100 covers shots for Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, Heartworm test and fecal exam.
Your membership of $200 pays for one Complete Male workup.
Your membership of $230 pays for one Complete Female Workup.
Your membership of $650 pays for one heartworm treatment.

Here are some of the average charges that we pay to our vets when a dog comes into our care, our adoption fee of $315 doesn't always cover all our costs:

1) Complete Male Workup: $182.00 (#4 plus castration)

2) Complete Female Workup: $227.50 (#4 plus ovariohysterectomy)

3) Heartworm Treatment Standard: $650.00 when completely finished (depending upon condition of dog; for dogs requiring x-rays and/or bloodwork add +or- $325.00)

4) Workup not requiring spay/neuter: $97.50 (this is Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, Heartworm test and fecal exam)

5) Orthopedic work: $1,500.00 and up (depending upon type and place of procedure; knee, hip, back, etc.)

6) Microchip: $35.00.
