Personality: Snowi came to GRR after being surrendered to PVAC as her owners were no longer able to care for her.  She is playful, gorgeous Golden Retreiver/Great Pyrenees mix whose coat matches her name!  Although not much is known about her previous life, things are looking up for this girl.

She has been with her foster family for about a month and is eating well, recovering from some minor illnesses and being spayed, and learning how to be a good dog.  She was initially pretty shy but is coming out of her shell as a result of a loving home and the companionship of her foster family’s dog.  While she doesn’t spend much time playing with her toys, she loves interacting with other dogs.

Ideal Home: Snowi would do well in a home with owners that provide clear, consistent boundaries for appropriate behavior.  She is currently in a foster home with another dog, so having a calm, confident companion dog might be a good way to show her the ropes.  Her foster home also has a cat, but they haven’t been left alone yet.  If the family has children, she would do best with older kids.  She is a young dog and will need guidance and support to thrive, as well as a lot of attention and exercises. She is a quick learner andhas made a lot of progress with her foster family.
