Personality:

Personality: Shiloh is almost anything but “shy.”  On most days this 9 year old golden-oldie plays like a pup.  Although very calm in the house, Shiloh is often found carrying his trusty ball, almost like a pacifier!  This true ball fanatic is retriever-ready and is great to play a game of fetch with young or old.  Shiloh is so good at retrieving, if he leaves the ball outside, you can tell him to go find it and he brings it back!  Talk about a new game of hide-and-go fetch!

Car ride anybody?  Yes, please! Shiloh loves the car and all the smells that blow in from outside when he sticks his head out the window. When it comes to leash walking, Shiloh tends to pull a bit at first, anxious to see what’s around the next corner, but it’s not long before he calms down and walks well.

Shiloh is incredibly gentle with food and gets along great with other dogs.  His foster parents noted that Shiloh loves to sit and snuggle on the couch and follows them from room to room.  At Shiloh’s elegant age, he is house-trained and perfectly behaved during grooming and brushing.

Shiloh has been to the vet for all of his booster shots.  While at the clinic Shiloh had a mild seizure.  According to the vet, the seizure seemed unrelated to any underlying issues, but the vet did recommend that he continue taking seizure medication twice per day pending further examinations. He seems to drag his leg in some play and jumping, but the vet didn’t find any issues when looking at paws or nails related to this.

Ideal Home: Shiloh is looking for a family, young or old, that loves company (because Shiloh loves to be around his people) and that will throw his favorite ball for him. And of course he is looking for his FUREVER home.
