Personality: Rhonda (aka Maggie) is very sweet and timid at first but she is also attentive and calm. She is such a peach when she goes on walks on a leash; she is just the most well behaved lady ever. She gets along well with everyone she meets, even cats. We’re all pretty stumped that she was left at a shelter as unwanted! I mean seriously, this little lady is even housetrained. She doesn’t like thunderstorms and she doesn’t like the crate (ok she hates it) but she is such a fabulous companion could we even hold that against her? Now, this lady may be tiny and a bit timid but oh boy, when it’s time for dinner, this gal isn’t shy. She will gulp down her food like nobody’s business! Do you like water? Well Rhonda does! I hope you will take her out for fun in the water. Another thing that Rhonda loves is peanut butter so if you ever need a pal to share your jar of PB with, look no further than Rhonda. She was smart enough to figure out how to use the dog door all by herself and not only that, she doesn’t just use the door to go outside, she also likes to put her nose out the dog door to check the weather. She needs some tender loving care to get her out of her shell but once she is comfortable with you, look out because you will be smothered with snuggles and loves from little Rhonda.

Ideal home: Quiet to moderate activity home is best. She's not high energy at all and would be a great fit for a low-energy human looking for a sweet companion. She's also so small in stature strangers often think she's a puppy. She could probably handle an apartment/condo situation. She'd probably do well with children and other animals. Someone who would snuggle with Rhonda who happens to be the sweetest Golden ever and just wants to be near her people. And eat peanut butter.
