Personality: With a nod to all the rain that Central Texas has been receiving, Noelani is a Hawaiian word that represents “mist of the sea”.  Along with her beautiful name, Noelani is a very cute and dark red gal with a petite frame and perky attitude.  Noelani deserves many accolades for her behavior around the home – this girl is reliably housetrained, trustworthy inside the home, sleeps quietly through the night, and rides in the car like a dream.  She is learning to play with stuffies and tennis balls – she likes to chase them although she may not always bring the toys back.  Noelani loves physical attention and will sit happily while you pet or groom her.

Noelani seems to play well with other dogs, although she sometimes likes to act like the top chick of the house.  You’ll have to forgive her bossiness at times, because generally speaking she is a very sweet gal who wants to get as much attention as possible from her humans!  Noelani is very teachable and has already learned to sit and lay down.

Noelani’s foster mom reports a funny quick about this dog - Noelani startles at new sounds like a washing machine, or even a small black dog statue at the side of the front door!

Ideal home: Noelani would do great with a dog savvy family who can train her and also recognize the subtle signs of dominant behavior w/other dogs.  With a little training and discipline, this healthy young dog will be good to go!  An ideal family would be active and take her every place that dogs are allowed to go.
