Personality: Mia is an adorable 4 month old Golden Retriever girl from South Texas that will steal your heart. Sporting a long snout, she may just be a slight Collie mix. She has a pale blonde coat, and clear bright eyes! At the moment, she is a bit underweight at 18 pounds, but definitely knows how to eat, as she demonstrated to Patti, her vet tech, by putting both front paws around her bowl and putting her head into the bowl to chow down!  She will soon realize that she has won the lottery as a Golden Ribbon girl, and never has to worry about having enough food again.  She is micro-chipped and her new vet has provided appropriate vaccinations. She is also currently undergoing treatment for parasites and fleas. Since she is so young, she will have to wait a while for a heartworm test, but has started heartworm preventative. Spaying is still a couple of months in the future, as well.

Ideal home: As a recent arrival, sweet Mia hasn’t had time to show her foster parents all aspects of her personality, especially her feeling for kitties and other critters.  But stay tuned for updates and more info on what would make an ideal home for Mia.
