Personality: Expressway, as his name would tell you, was found running as a stray down in South Texas.  After initial intake at the Palm Valley Animal Center, this boy rode the long drive across numerous expressways to Central Texas so that he could jump into the arms of Gold Ribbon Rescue (GRR) volunteers.  Expressway does have a few health issues to address, but GRR is ensuring that he receives top medical care so that he can reach his full potential as the loving, healthy, and loved dog he was meant to be.

We do know that Expressway rides in the car like a dream.  He also has great manners on the leash, knows how to sit, and doesn’t jump on people.  He also knows the command “let’s go” to turn around or turn a corner on a walk.  Wow!  Beyond his great manners, this boy will readily lie on his back for belly rubs.  Just look into his beautiful amber eyes, and you’ll see that he’s cute as can be – before you know it, he’ll be on the expressway to your heart.

Ideal home: We’re learning more about Expressway’s personality and his ideal home.  At present time, it appears that Expressway would do well in a variety of circumstances – as long as he has loving humans to welcome him into the family!  He may also get along with other dogs based on his behavior with neighbors.
