Personality: Brinkley came to GRR somewhat nervous and timid. He initially growled at his foster mom’s dog, but he is fine about that now he is getting to know the family and starting to fit in.

Brinkley is house broken and is free to roam the house, however, when he is alone he turns into a little sneak thief, walking off with shoes, blankets and stuffed animals. Closed doors are the best deterrent to this!

Brinkley doesn’t play much yet and doesn’t seem interested in toys so far. For the most part he has been okay with the family cats. One lives inside and the other one lives outside. Recently he’s thought it would be fun to chase the outside cat a little.

He’s good on a leash and in the car, although he’s a bit hesitant to jump into the car. When it’s time to be brushed he has a habit of wiggling and squirming. Brinkley is a friendly boy but is sensitive to loud voices.

Ideal Home: Brinkley would do well in a family that is willing to work with him. He is currently living with cats and another dog and has been fine for the most part. With work he will most likely be fine with cats and dogs if introductions are slow. He does get excited when he sees people and jump some so a family with older children rather than little ones would be better. He walks well on a leash but still lacks a little confidence. With patience and some training Brinkley will be a great companion.
