Personality:

Barney and Fred were found wandering the streets, and were picked up by a good samaritan. After weeks of waiting and attempting to find their lost owner, they came to GRR to find a new place to call home.

Barney is young, handsome, gentle, and affectionate. He wants nothing more than to be by your side and receive all the love you have to offer. His previous life experiences are unknown, but it is obvious he is inexperienced with house manners, and with new introductions. That’s okay though, because what he doesn’t know, he’s learning now. He’s learning that jumping is not always appreciated, new sounds make his head tilt to the side, other dogs are fun with slow introductions, and children offer the best hugs!

He’s also learning that kitchen counters have yummy treats, the meaning of the word “No”, and that sweet, adoring looks with huge eyes at the dinner table does not mean food reward. Barney’s a fast learner, and with consistency and confidence he’ll have the perfect Golden behavior down, in no time.

Barney is still young with some puppy exuberance, and he is full of potential. In the short time with his foster parents, he is now sleeping in his crate, walking well on lead, and knows when to settle down for family time. He’s looking for a family willing to invest their patience, time, and love in him. In return, he promises to shower you with affection, to watch TV with you, and to spend hours of his life dedicated to you.

If you’re looking for that young spirited Golden to grow your family with, look no further than Barney!

Ideal home:

Barney is a high energy Golden, that will need an active family to provide stability and training. He is quick to calm down, and does not like to be left alone for long lengths of time. He tends to worry and get nervous when his parents are gone.
