Nora...
Sweet Girl. That's what my foster dad calls me!
When I first arrived at my foster home – all the way back last summer – I was
extremely overweight and terribly shy. I was covered in mats and my skin was
irritated and blotchy. I was very sad and uncomfortable! In fact, I felt so bad
that I didn’t like to socialize much, with dogs OR humans. But since then I have
dropped almost 30 pounds, my skin has cleared up, my butter-gold coat has gotten
its beautiful luster back, and the sparkle in my eye and the spring in my step
have both returned.
I am an older girl and prefer the company of people to animals. I am a
sweetheart and the more you shower me with attention, the better I like it. I
sleep every night under the bed, and during the day I enjoy catching naps almost
anywhere (on the couch, on the floor, in my kennel, or basking in the sun). As
for other dogs… well, I don't appreciate the younger ones’ energy &
enthusiasm—it’s all a bit too much for somebody who’s seen it all and is ready
for a nice quiet life! But I have learned to accept my foster pack nicely. I am
calm with children. I am fascinated by cats, but I know when to keep my
distance.
I’d love to be your only dog, since after all I am a princess! I have come a
long way since I first came to my foster home, and I’ll make the right family
very happy.
