Maddie is a 5 1/2-year-old sweetheart who just loves people.  She is very adaptable and settled into her foster home surprisingly quickly—she even made friends with the cat!  So far, we haven’t seen any bad habits at all from this girl. She is crate trained, doesn't jump on people, and has never tried to get up on the furniture. She enjoys her grooming sessions and stays nice and calm throughout. She sleeps through the night as quiet as a mouse.

Maddie’s favorite pastime is fetch.  Even if you throw one ball, she'll come back with as many toys as she can fit into her mouth. So far the record is one rope toy and one tennis ball, but it’s obvious she’s working on improving her numbers!

Maddie recently went to the vet and the staff fell in love with her. She was a perfect lady, sitting patiently while they drew blood.  She does have allergy problems, like many of us do in Central Texas! – but she takes meds to keep the problem under control.

Maddie would do best in a home where she can be with her humans as much as possible.  She'd be fine with other dogs and/or cats, but mostly she likes to be with people (and as many toys as possible!). She is so sweet and well-behaved—some family is going to be very lucky to have her.
