Giovanni

Updated 2/22/11

Looking for a diamond in the rough?  This young dog is bright, curious, sweet, playful, and just plain wonderful!  He gets along with other dogs and children of all ages.  The jury is still out on cats… he wants to play with them but he’ll back off when they pop him in the nose.

Giovanni loves to play with toys… his favorite one is a ball on a rope.  He loves to play ball and he even brings it back.  He does like to jump on people, and so far, he’s only learned a few commands, like “sit.”  He’s eager to please, though, so he should be easy to train.

Giovanni has been living outside, so he’s really looking forward to being an inside dog who is part of the family.  You can be sure that his foster family will be spoiling him while they are teaching him the ins and outs of living indoors.  He deserves it!

This little guy (just 52 pounds) is full of energy.  He’ll be great for an active family who will love him, give him lots of attention, and treat him like one of the family.  He’ll need some firm and consistent training because he seems to think that he’s the one in charge.  Small guy on a power trip?  Sounds like he has a little Napoleon complex!

It’s heartbreaking that a dog this young, this full of life, and this beautiful has heartworms.  But he’ll be starting heartworm treatment soon, and before long he’ll be as good as new for his new family.  You’ll want to get your application in soon, though, because he’ll go quickly when his time in foster care is up.
