Adopted
Princess
is an
adorable fluff ball who is looking for that special family to adore
her.
She was born on June 2, 2007. Her first owner loved her very much, but wasn’t quite
prepared for the time-consuming (and sometimes daunting) task of raising a
puppy. She soon realized it would be best for Princess to come to GRR.
Princess
is well-socialized and happy.
She loves to play with the two other Goldens in our
family. She takes advantage of her tight turning radius to zip between the big
dogs’ legs and go into narrow places where they can’t catch her. She also does
an adorable swan dive off the porch into the yard—it ends in a belly flop, but
Princess doesn’t care. Once she hits the ground, it’s off to the races! We think
she would love to go to a forever family with another playful dog.
She has adjusted very well to our home and sleeps
quietly in the crate at night as long as she can see her two pals nearby. She is
a typical mischievous puppy, of course, and can get into everything and chew
anything she can get her needle teeth on. When we’re home during the day but
can’t keep a close eye on her, we keep her out of mischief in her 2-foot-tall
ex-pen. She’s great about settling down in her “play pen” unless (a) she can’t
see her buddies; or (b) it’s supper time. Princess loves to eat and gets so
excited when she sees her food dish that she just about leaps out of her pen!
Princess
is doing very well at house training for such a young girl.
Like all puppies, she’s kind of like a drink-and-wet
doll… there’s not much time between her getting a drink of water and then having
to potty. You have to be vigilant and move fast to whisk her out the door.
True to her name, Princess loves attention and
loves to be cuddled, fussed over, carried around, and told how glamorous she is.
We are really enjoying having her in our home. If you are ready to add some
royalty to your family, just let us know! (Princess is looking for a castle with
children over the age of five and courtiers who can stay home to wait on her or
come home from their away-from-the-palace activities at least several times a
day.)
