Gingie
—what a sweet, sweet red-headed girl! She is absolutely gorgeous and
healthy—though she is on the plump side, so we’re paying special attention to
her diet. She made immediate friends with our Golden, Lady, who has taken it
upon herself to teach 5-year-old Gingie the joys of being an indoor dog. Lady is
giving her a course in house manners, and Gingie is a fast learner. Having lived
mostly outside, she didn’t understand what was expected of her when she first
arrived—but just one firm “no” does the trick! She will shine in obedience
classes. She only wants to know what is expected and is very eager to please her
people friends. The two girls investigate the yard, too, with Gingie never
leaving Lady’s side.
Her first night she spent barking and whining behind the babygate. I’m sure she
thought she was being left alone, even though Lady was in view. But every night
since, in the same gated area, she has not let out a sound when tucked into bed!
Riding in the car is a perfect example of all the new adventures Gingie is
having. It’s a production getting her into the car, but once in, she settles
down and appears to enjoy the ride. She loves being outside frolicking in the
yard, as long as one of her people friends is close. She walks on a leash with
perfect manners. It’s fun watching Gingie trying out all these new activities
and experiences!
The family cat totally enthralls her. She and the cat will stand nose to nose
for hours. The whole time, Gingie’s tail is wagging off. She just wants to make
friends… at least, until the cat takes off, and then the race is on! But it’s
all in fun.
Gingie is a wonderful girl who will be a great addition to her forever family.
All she asks for is attention and love and will give both back in great measure.
Are you ready for the sweetest Golden?
