Adopted

Sandy comes to GRR from a loving owner who rescued the sweet red girl from a bad situation, but then encountered health problems of her own that made her unable to care for her new Golden.

Sandy is very tiny – a real “pocket dog,” not even 50 pounds! She is as loving and affectionate as they come. She had her spay surgery a couple of weeks ago, and now she’s at the beginning of her heartworm treatment. She’s enjoying her foster home, getting used to living with other dogs and cats, and finding out that car rides can be lots of fun. When she first arrived, she proved herself a champ at high-speed squirrel pursuit. Now she’s on activity restriction due to her HW treatment, much to the relief of the local rodent population… but they’d better watch out again in a couple of months from now! That’s when Sandy will be ready to go on squirrel patrol again – AND to find her forever home.
