Adopted

Abby... Hello, my name is Abby, and if you have not already noticed, I am very, very, very cute. I am about 8 months old. I am 100% Golden Retriever! My original family just could not keep me anymore, so they asked Gold Ribbon to find a great home for me.

My foster mama says I am very smart. I have learned some new things since I arrived in my foster home. For instance, I wasn’t really potty trained when I got here, but it only took just one short week for me to figure out what they wanted me to do. I have not had an accident in the house in a whole week! My foster parents think I get it now!

I am being crate trained, and it will be important for me to continue with that in my new home… which won’t be hard, because I am starting to feel very comfortable in my “house” now. In fact, I sleep very quietly there all night. My foster parents have taught me know some of the basics, like SIT, but my forever family will need to spend more time teaching me new commands. Since I am so smart, I’ll get really bored if I don’t keep my mind and body active… you know what they say, “the devil finds some mischief still, for idle paws to do!”

I’m still a puppy, which means I have a lot of energy, so I really want a home with a person or another dog who loves to play. I am good with kiddos, I am very gentle, I love to play with my foster dog brothers, and I ignore the cat that lives here. WOW! That sounds pretty hard to resist, doesn’t it? If you are looking for a lovable, sweet, smart little girl, I am the one for you! If you want to be the first in line, you’d better hurry, though. Call GRR and tell them you want Abby!
