Single,
adventurous female with mysterious past seeking companion/family to share the
rest of her life with. Qualified applicants must like to play with toys and
snuggle. Other dogs in the household a plus!
Is Samantha the one for you? This beautiful young gal, around 2 years old, comes
to GRR as a stray from the San Antonio shelter. She is petite, only about 45
pounds. She loves to be with her humans and craves their attention—and she loves
to play and is always carrying a toy in her mouth. (Or something else – socks
are the best!) She’s eager to please, has a very cheery disposition, and is open
to new experiences.
She quickly taught herself how to counter surf, and although she is only a
beginner, she is gaining skill quickly in this area. Oops! Clever dog! That’s
one talent we DON’T want to develop. (: We are discouraging this activity. She
sleeps right through the night and does well when alone in the house, gated into
the kitchen or game room.
Samantha gets along great with other four-legged creatures. She shares her
foster home with a cat, a collie, and two dachshunds. She’s not too interested
in the cat, but she especially likes playing with one of her dachshund foster
siblings. You wouldn’t believe how vigorously they play together—and you’d never
guess that there is about a 32-pound weight difference between them! She also
lives with three children, and if she is especially lucky and sneaky, she gets
to sleep in bed with one of them, tucked under the covers like a baby. If you
are seeking a companion who will love you unconditionally—Samantha is the girl
for you!
