Jenni... Hi, my
name is Jenni. The kind folks at GRR picked me up at a shelter down south to
make sure I found a great forever home. The shelter couldn’t tell anybody too
much about my past—in fact, the person who dropped me off there even said I was
a boy (how insulting!!!). Well, that’s OK. I am just glad I got the chance to
start over and find a place where I will be loved and can give lots of love to
my forever family.
Since I can't tell you much about my life before now, let me tell you what my
foster parents see in me. I was pretty frightened when I first got here. I was
timid about getting in and out of the car and when people moved quickly toward
me. I had no idea what my foster parents were trying to tell me when they used
words like COME, SIT, and STAY. It was a strange new language! But after a
couple of days, I realized how great it was to be in a real home, and I fit
right in.
I have two Golden foster brothers, and I really like them. The very first day I
was here, my oldest foster brother told me that he was in charge, and that is
fine with me! There is also a grouchy cat here. That obnoxious furball swatted
me in the face during my first week. I decided that getting punched by a furry
fist was not much fun, so now I just leave her alone. (What a crab!!)
There are five things I want from my forever home: love, stability, love,
training, and love! Well, OK, maybe that is just three things, but love is
REALLY important, so let's start with that! My foster parents don't think I had
much opportunity to get and give love early on, so now I need to make up for
lost time. I want be with people who can really teach me what it means to be a
true part of the family. In turn, I will be very loyal, cuddle with you, and
give kisses. The next thing is stability. I want to know that where I go is
where I will stay! Of course, the fine folks at GRR will help make sure that I
find a home that is just perfect for me. And finally, I need someone who will
spend time training me. I am learning the basics right now, and that’s really
giving me confidence, because I am starting to understand what my foster mom and
dad expect from me. When you’ve had a rough start, it really helps to know what
to do in every situation!
If you are looking for a Golden who wants to be a part of your family, with or
without other pets, and is great around kids, then I am your Golden Girl. Just
contact GRR and tell 'em Jenni sent you!
