Lando
and his little brother
River were
found running loose in a north Austin neighborhood. There wasn’t a scrap of ID
on them, and they were probably dumped as a pair when they outgrew their puppyhood. We think they’d been living as strays for some time, begging for
handouts wherever they could. That’s no life for a dog! Fortunately, a few weeks
ago, the two boys happened to camp out for the night in the right yard—the owner
is Lando’s current foster mom Sandra, and imagine her surprise when she opened
the door the next morning to find two blonde intruders! She promptly nabbed the
nomads for GRR, and their life as furry fugitives came to a happy conclusion.
River has already found his forever home, and Lando is ready for his, too.
Here’s the report from Sandra:
When Lando first came to our house, he was afraid of everything, even the T.V.—but
now he has blossomed into a confident and happy boy. This sweet, handsome fellow
has gone to the park many times and gets along with other dogs and people of all
sizes. He loves to retrieve tennis balls and splash around in the baby pool.
Lando is housebroken and has learned to ring a bell when he needs to go outdoors
for a pit stop. He chased our cats at first, but now he does “play bows” to try
and get them to engage in a game with him. He’s crate trained and does well in
the crate when we are away from the house. (If he’s going to be alone for just a
short time, we leave him loose and he does great.) He’s a happy traveler who
jumps right into the car and lies down for the trip. He enjoys children – he
just wants them to throw the ball.
Lando is sure to warm your heart – please come to meet him!
