Calsea...Eight-year-old Calsea is the quintessential Golden Retriever: loving and lovable, furry and soft, quiet yet totally alert. She walks on a leash like she was born to it; her intake and output are pretty much on schedule. In our household, she’s a great second dog, always looking for leadership from the alpha Golden girl Missy, but she’s not in the least shy about letting her needs be known.

Calsea has a serene face with those typical adoring brown eyes that make you want to hug her all the time. She comes when called, goes away when told to, lies down, sits, and stays for a second, especially when there is a treat for her. She does love her treats!! She’s a playful girl; she likes to lie on her back, all four legs in the air—just like the California Sea Otter for which she was named. She will trot along happily for a while during her walks, and runs flat out when given the opportunity to play off leash.

Her beautiful plume tail never stops wagging, and she loves grooming—she sits quietly while you brush and comb her. She even stood still to having her feet groomed. What a beautiful girl she is!

All in all, Miss Calsea is a fantastic Golden, and whoever becomes her forever family will have a sweet and wonderful pet. Calsea loves her foster sister Missy, but she’d be happy as an “only” dog, too, as long as she gets enough hugs and love. She's a charmer!
