Hello! I am so glad to meet you, and boy will you be glad to meet me! I am a
real sweetie, and I am beautiful, too. I have the softest fur and a very gentle
disposition—I get along with everyone and everything I meet. I do like to chase
the birds and squirrels out of the yard, though. It is my turf, after all!
Me and my sister were found roaming the streets. A nice lady took us to her
house to get us out of harm’s way, and then we went to an animal shelter just in
case somebody was out there looking. But nobody was—and that’s when GRR stepped
in.
I have been in foster care for 2 weeks and I am doing just great. I do miss my
sister, but fortunately there is another Golden girl here to keep me company—and
I am really attached to my Foster Mom, too. I like to keep her company all the
time, and if I can’t see her I might scratch at the door and whine a bit just so
she knows I am there and to let me through! However, I’m also feeling more
comfortable in my foster home every day, and I’m relaxing more all the time. As
a matter of fact, I have even been allowed out of my crate when my foster family
has to leave me alone. I have been on my best behavior during these times,
because I must confess I don’t much care for that crate!
As I mentioned, I have a Golden pal here, and there’s also a cat and three kids.
I like my dog sister, and we are becoming better friends every day. I am leery
of the cat that lives here. To be honest, I don’t really care about her or what
she is doing, but don’t tell her that! I am great with my Foster Kids, and all
of their friends, too.
Here’s another tidbit about me … I love to sleep on furniture! I am most happy
when I am up on the bed or couch. My Foster Mom does not like me on the
furniture, but I just ignore her and get up there anyway. I am hoping that she
will think I am so cute and comfy that she will let me stay there (it seems to
be working!). I am getting adjusted to riding in the car, too. I will be on my
best behavior on my way to my new home, I promise!
Let’s see, what else? I like water. I have a deep, loud bark which I don’t use
very much, but I will give you the heads-up when another dog or a person is
walking by the house. You will know if somebody is in our territory!
Did you see my pictures? You may have noticed I have a slight under bite, where
my lower jaw is a little longer than my upper jaw. I have been told this is
called a Hapsburg Lip in people, and is a sign of nobility and royal breeding! I
think it adds distinction, don’t you? In fact, I bet you have already picked up
the phone to arrange a time to come and meet me! I can’t wait to see you and to
go to a forever home soon. If you have another dog for me to pal around with and
kids and maybe even a stay-home parent, I will be in heaven. I am such a sweetie
that I will not be available for long—so hurry and make that call!
