ADOPTED

Caroline... Whoever adopts Miss Caroline will be lucky, lucky, lucky. She is smart as a whip & housetrained too, with honey-colored fur & dainty white tips on two feet. At this writing Caroline is just over 3 months old.

Caroline (pronounced like Carolina) is that perfect mixture of sweetness & cuddling & zaniness. Most of the time she is laid back & polite … snoozing under my desk or napping in the closet … watching us prepare meals or hanging out with the big dogs. She even goes along on the nightly 5:00 Dog Drive … five ancient Goldens & Caroline, riding through the neighborhood in the back of the Explorer at 15 mph, air conditioner blasting.

Caroline quickly made friends with the three neighbor girls. They borrow her and practice her obedience training (bites of hot dog for sit/down/roll over), and they take her for walks. The girls say she is extremely intelligent & trainable. Caroline likes tummy rubs & tug of war & wading in the baby pool. She eats meals in her crate & sleeps there all night, or when we’re gone during the day for up to 3 hours.

Just when we think Caroline is perfectly perfect, she dashes those thoughts with Wild Puppy Frenzies! Zoom through the house! Bite the hands that feed her! Pull the Big Dogs’ tails! Caroline is so appropriately puppy that we borrow another puppy, our next-door-neighbor Maggie (age 6 months), to wear her out. (See photo of crazy wrestling match.) The two Golden girls wrestle & chase & pretend to be monsters. My-oh-my, there is nothing ladylike about those two when they are together. :-)

Caroline’s perfect adoptive family will stimulate her with lots of love & fun activities & positive obedience classes. Since she is highly social & intelligent, she’ll need to be busy so that she remains Lady Caroline instead of her mischievous alter ego, Naughty Caroline—well, for most of the time, anyway!
