> Dear Gold Ribbon Rescue Friends,

Bailey...
Six-year-old Bailey is a pretty redhead who came to GRR when her first family
could not care for her any longer. She had spent most of her time as a yard dog,
and as you can imagine she is just delighted with her new life as a house
Golden!
Bailey is a smiley, happy girl. She LOVES to retrieve balls on land and in
water. She is a proud runner and swimmer. When Bailey brings the ball back to
you, she drops it nicely and sits to wait eagerly for your next throw. It is at
that moment she has declared you to be her new best friend.
Bailey may be new to indoors, but she is naturally well-mannered and eager to
please in the house. She chooses to nap and sleep in her crate on her own. Once
we figured that out, we just decided to leave the door open -- she’ll go in by
preference for a snooze during the day and to sleep overnight. She is perfectly
house-trained, never begs, and never barks. She knows the commands “sit,” “off,”
and “go lie down.”
Bailey takes pride in her appearance and enjoys a good bath and brushing. She
made a stop at the vet’s before coming to her foster home, where we learned that
her thyroid was a bit low. She’s happy to be taking that little pill each day,
as she knows it will soon lead to a svelter figure and a thicker and shinier
coat! She discovered herself in the mirror the other day and spent a few minutes
trying to greet herself. Well, she is a girl, after all!
Miss Bailey is so happy to be at home and with her foster family. She simply
can’t get enough love and affection. The more petting, hugs, and kisses, the
better. She will stick close to your side and do what you do. Bailey will make a
great family member and will add even more love to some lucky, loving home.
