ADOPTED

Phoebe is a one-year-old girl whose owners did not have enough time for her. She spent most of her time in the yard, on the outside looking in.... until now. Here is her story:

THROUGH THE DOOR

I've always wanted to go through the door
I've never been that way before
So much to see, so much to explore
If only I could go through the door.

And then one day, it happened, it came
A man came over and called my name
He took me for a wonderful ride
And opened his door and let me inside.

Inside that door I was thrilled to see,
another golden puppy to play with me
A foster mom, 3 kids, & a cat
And a crate in the corner (I have to sleep in that???).

Inside the door I'm learning the rules
Just praise me and pet me. Those are your tools.
But I'm learning fast. I'm smart & I'm fun.
I love to play fetch. Throw the ball – watch me run.

I'm learning to play only with my own toys
And I'm great in the yard, never bark or make noise.
I take care of all of my “business” outside
And behave myself great when we go for a ride.

I'd love to be near you at rest and at play
To love you and share in your life every day.
A Forever Family, oh my hopes soar,
If you'd call Gold Ribbon, and let me though your door.
