“Y”
is for YOUNGSTER. I am a 9-month-old boy who loves playing fetch,
taking lots of walks, and just doing everything you like to do. I love playing
chase games with my foster brother as well as running around the yard with the
home’s three kids. My paws are big, and everyone thinks I will be big all over
when I grow up. But most of all they think I’m a beautiful red-haired boy.
“U” is for UTTERLY LOVING & LOVABLE!
When GRR bailed me out of the shelter just a few weeks ago, that “U” might have
stood for “unloved” —but not any more! Since then, I have been learning that
people are really nice, and I am so happy to be nice to them, too. I am becoming
a pro at everything to do with family life, from housebreaking to cuddling. I've
discovered the joys of a good tummy rub, and I have decided that my very
favorite place is resting at your feet until you’re ready to play again.
“K” is for KIND-HEARTED KLEPTOMANIAC.
OK, I admit it. I have one fault. I love to steal shoes. I never have chewed on
them, but I love to carry them around the house. And of course I know my foster
parents love a good scavenger hunt. I’m so cute and gentle they never get upset
with me. They just tell me “no” and make me give it back. In fact, I’m learning
there are lots of things around the house that aren’t mine… but who could resist
checking it all out at least once? I’m just so curious about all the new stuff
I’ve never seen before.
"O”
is for OPENING UP. When GRR found me I was pretty insecure. I
acted like I was always waiting for someone to yell at me. Now I’m learning that
living with a family is lots of fun. Learning to trust is hard work, but I’m
realizing more and more each day that I’m a good boy with lots of love to give.
“N” is for NEW EXPERIENCES. My foster
parents think I used to be kenneled most of my puppy life. Since being rescued
I’ve had lots of new experiences. I’ve learned about long walks and play times
with other dogs as well as kids and adults (I get along with everyone). And let
me mention those cuddle sessions and tummy rubs again—they are just great, and
to think I never knew they existed! And I’ve learned a lot about being an indoor
dog and part of a family. There is just one more thing I’d really like to
experience— a forever family.
Would you
be mine?
