ADOPTED

Gidget, Attention ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages, potential adoptive parents, and forever puppy homes!

Which pup is fun loving, happy, and obedient?

Which pup can melt your heart with her beautiful brown eyes, wispy haired funny ears, wagging tail, and sweetie pie face?

Hands down the winner is.....................Little Miss Gidget!

Gidget came to Gold Ribbon Rescue from Town Lake Animal Shelter. This small ingénue has a very sweet personality and always aims to please her master. Gidget is "mostly" Golden and presently only weighs about 35 pounds. She has 100% of the wonderful personality traits of a Golden and the looks of a Golden without the size. She is a compact make believe "miniature Golden Retriever."

Since coming to her foster home Gidget has interacted well with her three foster dogs and three foster cats. Gidget loves to play chase and wrestle with one of her foster sisters. When a game of chase is in progress "Katie Bar the Door" for Gidget becomes faster than a speeding bullet. There are hairy ears flapping and legs literally flying off the ground. Gidget has learned to respect the household cats because the resident "fat cat" has given her lesson #1 entitled "Pounce the Puppy!" Since then Gidget has become a very quick study and now wags her tail and smells the noses of the cats knowing not to overstep into their territory.

Gidget has been the finest lady in her foster home. She is totally housebroken and has never had an accident in the house. She loves to play with her kong, a bone, and a few stuffed toys and she has never chewed anything inappropriate. She is quick to settle down once she is inside or playtime has ended. She knows the commands of sit, off, and down. She also walks easily on a leash with a slight pull but is easy to handle due to her petite size.

Gidget is crated when left without adult supervision. She tolerates the crate but isn't crazy about being away from her special people. She sleeps beside the bed at night with never a sound.

Gidget is looking for her forever home and family. She would blossom in an environment where her sweet, shy, and soft temperament would be nurtured. This little girl could be compared to a beautiful butterfly about to emerge from her cocoon. If you would like to make Gidget the next social butterfly from Gold Ribbon Rescue please adopt this princess. Gidget will give your family many years of love, joy, laughs, and loyalty. She's truly a special little being waiting for the chance to prove her amazing qualities.

Update 01/14/2005:

"Gidget is a great addition to our family. She is still a well-behaved little girl and enjoys the company of our dogs so much.

As usual she is still Emma's best friend, and I can't seem to manage to get a picture of her by herself as they are joined at the hip. She has kept these older girls going and off of their behinds! She enjoys running in our large yard as fast as she can. She has become an expert in stalking and chasing squirrels. She can now jump into the car and loves to take a ride. She has become more confident as each day passes. She is so full of life and a big baby. We haven't had a bad day with Gidget. She keeps us all smiling."
