Chula...
"Perfect!"
"Awesome!"
"Super sweet!"
"Totally trustworthy!"
Is there really a dog who can live up to that description? Chula's foster family
certainly thinks so! Chula is a petite 4 1/2-year-old girl who came to us from
owners who loved her very much but could no longer care for her.
Chula is a self-confident young lady who adapts very well to new situations.
When she first arrived in town, we found that she had bad ear infections and a
skin infection too, so she stayed with a nice family near the vet clinic, so she
could pop in for a few check-ups. She settled right in, never needed crating,
and got on great with her Golden foster brother. After a week of medications and
luxury baths with special shampoo, her ears and skin were almost totally clear,
so off she went to longer-term accommodations. Once again, she instantly made
herself at home. She gets along great with all the other dogs in her new foster
home, and she likes the indoor cat, too - in fact, just last night, she was
determined to help kitty in his evening grooming session and was trying to wash
his ears for him! (Kitty was not very pleased about that, but he didn't get TOO
mad, as he could tell Chula's intentions were good.) She will ignore cats who
ignore her, but if you have a dog-friendly cat who likes to play, Chula will be
happy to oblige.
Chula rides like a lady in the car, calmly looking out the window. She does
prefer to ride up in front, just in case the driver needs directions or
assistance of any other kind! She didn't have too many toys at her first home,
but she is delighted to play with squeakers and plushies now that she has them.
"Keep away" with a tennis ball has become a real favorite. She is completely
housebroken and has never had a single accident. She enjoys baths and brushing.
She does snore a little bit, but in the most ladylike fashion! No ear-splitting
"sawing wood" for this girl.
In Chula's original home, she was called "Houdini" for her ability to dig under
fences. But, in foster care, she has shown no inclination at all to dig out. She
is happy to hang out with the humans! She did zip out the front door her very
first day in Austin, but only went partway down the driveway - and she hasn't
done it since.
Chula is a special dog and so loving and easy! She would love to meet her
forever family soon-and they will be very lucky to meet her, too. She is a dark
blonde girl with the good looks to match her personality, and she is hoping to
have a photo session soon, so that you can see her & imagine her happily sitting
by your side.
