Joshua...Hello
Humans! I’m Joshua and I am (to quote my foster mom), “a happy, cuddly love bug
with the most adorable puppy face ever”. I often hear her telling my foster dad
that I am just soooo cute. Yup, I pretty much have her wrapped around my little
paws. I hate to brag but… I am a charmer. I usually get pets and baby talk from
every one I meet.
Since
being in my foster home, my foster family has educated me about this crazy human
world I live in. I’ve decide that I really like all you two-legged, hairless
dogs. You look kind of funny but y’all are great company. I think it is my job
to stay by your side and keep you warm since you don’t have much fur.
Because I am so young, my foster family has been schooling me on doggie manners.
One of the most important lessons I have learned is that when I sit I get really
good things like food or treats or pets. Therefore, I pretty much sit when I am
asked. I am working on some of those other words I hear a lot like “stay and
down” but those are a little harder because I don’t like to sit still for too
long. Heck, if I sit too long I may miss out on something really cool. But, I
can shake like any good little gentleman. I still have tutorials daily because
my foster parents say I am a sponge and I learn quickly.
I
love my foster sisters! Simone is my favorite because she will really play with
me. That old girl can really give me a run for my money and I LOVE it! I could
play all day long if she let me but she gets tired a little faster than I do.
Now, my other foster sister is kind of bossy. She doesn’t let me get away with
too much mischief. She always has her eye on me and lets me know when I get
under her fur. I listen very well to her because I think she might be a spy for
foster mommy and daddy and I really want them to think I am the perfect pup.
Maybe one day the Queen will come off her throne and tussle a little with me.
I
love toys!!! I love toys so much that I haven’t really chewed on any thing else.
Okay, well maybe there was just one thing. When I first arrived, I chewed up
foster daddy’s speaker wires he left out but I listened when he told me that was
not okay. I am proud to say that nothing else has been touched and that is an
accomplishment for a pup my age. I pretty much just get a toy if I feel like
chewing. My favorite is the rope toy because I love to shake the “life” out of
it. Hey, that rope can be vicious and I have to show it who is boss. By the way,
I did make up with foster dad for chewing those wires.
I
love to work in the yard. I learned how to help foster dad mow the lawn. I
prance right next to his side. It is my most favorite chore on the weekend. I
make sure that I am on the safe side of the mower and then I test the freshly
cut grass for him. I also prune the sage bushes outside. It is probably a good
idea to make sure you don’t have any toxic plants in your backyard if you want
to take me home. I like to taste the outside world!
Cuddling
is my forte. I can really snuggle up close and give lots of love. I fancy a good
back scratch. It feels so good. I usually will hand out kisses for a
high-quality back rub.
Well, I guess that’s all for now. I can only sit here, type and boast about
myself for so long. I am young and have to experience life. Come experience it
with me. It should be a fun journey!
OH…P.S….I’m
housetrained (big doggie grin)
