Adopted
Remington...One-year-old
Remington… what a pistol! And what a good boy, too.
Surrendered to a Killeen-area shelter by a military owner who could no
longer care for him, this cheerful guy is very energetic and lovable. He is
highly intelligent and learns very quickly, and he listens to commands
extremely well. As an example, while Remmy was running with our two Goldens
Nelli and BOB, Robb whistled and called Remmy to come. He immediately
stopped, turned around, and ran back to us. We looked at each other in awe!
What a good dog! Remmy has never had an accident indoors, sits and lies down
on command, and understands the word “no.” Of course, like any young Golden,
he does have his mischievous side. In the kitchen, he’s a sneak thief and
likes to steal items from the counter. But all in all, he is a little
gentleman and just wants to please you and be loved!
Remmy
has a very dark red, curly coat, and as he puts on a few pounds, he’s
getting to be such a handsome guy. A true Golden, he loves to swim and play
with the tennis ball. He gets along great with our own two Goldens and is an
absolute joy to have around. BOB, our alpha male, sometimes likes Remmy to
know that he is the man of the house, so he’ll snarl at him. In response,
Remmy just looks at him like, “yeah.....ho hum… be that way… whatever!” He
doesn't cower or feel that has to challenge BOB. He's just an easy-going boy
who wants to get along with everyone.
If
you are looking for an active, handsome, beautiful, smart young boy who
loves to play with people and other dogs, but also enjoys just hanging out
and being close to you, then this could be the dog you have been waiting
for!
