ADOPTED
Lady
has been with us for almost a month now. She was kind
of shy at first so we wanted to give her time to adjust. Much to our delight
she has adjusted beautifully and shows no signs of bad habits! She’s truly a
wonderful little girl. She’s housebroken and reliable loose in the house all
day, although she does sleep in her crate at night (otherwise, she’ll crawl
in bed with you). She does eat paper-and really likes it, so keeping open
waste baskets emptied is necessary.
Lady
was surrendered by a family who was moving and couldn't keep her and her
brother. They had children so we know she does well with kids. Her previous
foster home had a cat and she seemed to ignore it.
For
a young girl she is very mellow in the house, eats well, doesn’t counter surf
and takes treats very gently. Outside, she loves to play and run like the
wind. She’s tough and smart when playing with our dog who outweighs her by
25lbs–think she’s picked up some moves from Chuck Norris. She’s a good guard
dog too (yeah, a golden!), very alert and aware of everything around her.
She's not aggressive at all, just let's you know when someone is walking by.
The
worst thing about her is that she doesn’t photograph well. She always looks
sad in her pictures, yet she’s really beautiful, perky and happy. We truly enjoy her as she’s
obedient, comes when she’s called, travels well and is healthy, sweet and
loving.
We think she’ll be perfect for a busy household with lots of activity but
know she will adapt easily to any home as long as they have lots of love and
plenty of time to give her.
