ADOPTED

Katy is a very sweet, playful and exuberant dog. She's a four-year-old, tail-waggin', ear-chewin', cat chaser! She just loves the cats, but they don't know it yet. Katy loves to play and gets along very well with other dogs. She adores -- and is adored by both our three-year-old male Golden and our thirteen-year-old female Golden respectively, and with Sassy, the key word here is respect.

Katie has so much love and companionship to give and she’s always looking for ways to have us reciprocate. And who could blame her? For instance, she might lure the baby over to her and eagerly lick the baby's hands and face causing the baby to squeal with delight. This will get your attention and remind you of how sweet Katy is and that she needs some love and affection.
Next thing you know, you are 15 minutes late for work because you have been praising and playing with Katy while she rolls submissively at your feet. Another way she might lure you in is to whine gently or beat her tail wildly against the stove; it's funny how she figured out that the stove and her tail cause the most commotion as opposed to say her tail and the cabinet or the floor. But again, she is reminding you of her devotion. Katie longs to sit at your feet, or on your lap, and stare innocently into your eyes. Her face glows with delight with every new opportunity to share and hang out with the people.

Katy will make an excellent dog for the perfect family. She loves children and is so gentle with our 16 month old baby. She would love an active family that would pay her as much attention as she’s willing to give.
