Adopted
Penny... Hi, my name is Penny,
and I am a 2 1/2-year-old redhead. My twin sister Copper and I came to GRR when
our owners could no longer care for us. I used to live mostly outside, but now I
get to live indoors with my foster mom and dad, two other Golden Retrievers, and
a cat. The other Goldens are boys and play really hard. Sometimes I play with
them, but when they get too rough, I bow out and go to my foster parents for
safety. My favorite thing is to be loved on! I don’t get on the furniture, but
when my foster mom or dad sits on the floor with me, I cuddle up next to them
and lay my head in their lap.
I also love to get out of the house and go on walks with my foster family. I am
great on a leash and I love to impress everyone with how obedient I am. I am a
little chubby, but I have lost noticeable weight in the last couple of weeks
(and if you adopt me, I will even tell you my weight-loss secrets!). I went
running with my foster dad the other day and I did fantastic! I couldn’t stop
smiling after we got back.
I would do great in a home with or without children, with other dogs or as a
single pet. When I first got here, I liked to bark at the cat, but I am starting
to lose interest in that furry thing. Most important, I have lots of love to
give, so I really want to be with someone who will let me give them
attention—and who will give me lots of love in return. I know that I will make
that someone very happy! If you want to meet, just let me know.
