Copper... Hi, my name is Copper, and as you might guess from my name, I have pretty coppery-red fur. I took a trip to the doggie beauty salon last week—my first one ever—and now I really shine! I came to GRR along with my twin sister, Penny, when my owners could not care for me anymore. My foster family has a little boy, Daniel, and I love playing with him. We go into our backyard and run around and play fetch and tug-of-war with a rope. My foster mom and dad are working with me on walking on a leash, and I am doing quite well (if I do say so myself!). In fact, I really like taking our evening walks each day after supper. I don’t jump up on people, eat from the trash, drink from the toilet, or beg for food—I am a lady, after all. I am still a little bit shy—but I have been in my foster home for almost 2 weeks now, and I am really coming out of my shell.

My foster family has a boy Golden Retriever. He is OK for a boy and all. He barks at everything, but I don’t bark unless my foster mom tells me to “speak.” He is scared of thunderstorms, but I’m not! I like sleeping in my crate at night—I go into the crate without any problems and sleep happy and content in there all night. (Well, all right, at first I whined a little bit, but my foster mom has a pup of her own and she didn’t fall for that! So now I am just fine.) I love to go in the backyard and lie in the warm sun. If you are looking for a quiet girl who loves children, I would love to meet you – and I just know that you would like me, too.
