Adopted
Maggie
Introducing the incomparable Maggie
Mae, a 10 month old girl golden who has everything you could want in a Golden.
Maggie came to us from an owner with their other golden, Brooke, when the owners
decided they did not have enough time for the dogs and did not have enough time
to train Maggie. What's to train? Maggie is reliably housetrained , does not
chew on items that don't belong to her, gets along wonderfully with our dogs and
other than an occasional sniff, is not interested in our Mr. Kitty.
Maggie
loves her woobie -- to hold in her mouth, to chase, and to hold proudly above
her head with both paws. Maggie also loves tennis balls and will not only
retrieve but will drop the ball at your feet so you can throw it again. She will
sit for a treat and takes it gently. In the back yard, I have Maggie chase me
while I'm calling her name, she thinks it's a game - I think it's a way to teach
her to come when called and she's getting very good at it. We're working on
"wait" as in wait for me to go through the door first. Maggie is not much for
barking unless she's feeling lonely or needs to go out. Needs a little
assistance to go in crate but settles down right away and loves to take a nap in
it with the door open.
Maggie
is recovering well from her spay surgery and the pictures attached were taken
today with her in the flora, hoping to find some fauna.
I don't think we will have Maggie with us very long before she goes on to her
forever home but she has been a joy to get to know and thought you'd enjoy
getting to know her too.
