ADOPTED
Dakota
is a handsome, red dog, with medium-length fur. He weighs about 70 pounds and is
well proportioned and strong for his size. Many people comment on his good
looks. He is a high-energy guy, especially considering his age; only one of our
other foster dogs has had more energy.
He
has a wonderful personality. He is always happy, his tail never stops wagging,
he is curious about everything, and vitally aware. He is a bit over 5 years old
but acts more like a puppy than an adult dog and most people think he is only a
year or so old. He is also unusually stable; nothing fazes him. Dakota is people
oriented, great with children, and enjoys attention even from total strangers.
He loves attention and follows us everywhere around the house. He sleeps in our
bedroom on the floor, quietly and through the night -- although his definition
of morning is sometimes different
from ours!
Dakota
is excellent in the house! He has no destructive behaviors (well, he did shred
one roll of toilet paper) and there have been no "accidents", not even on the
first day. He stays off furniture and does not counter-surf.
Dakota has integrated beautifully into our family. He is a sweet and loving boy
who fills the house with his enthusiasm and energy. We will really miss him when
he goes to his forever home.
